    Visual and Sound Essay
    alchemical porosity

Adriana João (1998, Portugal) lives and works in Lisbon. She began her musical studies in 2005 at Conservatório de Portimão Joly Braga Santos, where she studied violin until 2013. She did a BA at Faculdade de Belas-Artes de Lisboa, in Multimedia Arts - Performance and Installation, and two post-graduations at the same university — Sound Art and Multimedia Art - Moving Image. Her transdisciplinary and intuitive work reflects through sound, moving image, performance, sculpture, photography and installation. It emerges from subtle coincidences in the perpetual immaterial link between everything that exists, found in the tangled perfect and imperfect cycles, and patterns that derive from common tangents. She has been exhibiting, playing and making artistic residencies regularly in Portugal and abroad. She co-founded the collective TEIA, formalized as an online radio. She has been collaborating with different artists, curators and musicians, like Róisín Berkeley, Polido, David Revés, Pedreira, Grupo de Música Contemporânea de Lisboa, Mariana Pestana, João Reis, Guilherme Vilhena, Violeta Azevedo, Pedro Tavares, Seán Being, Inês Malheiro, Vicente Mateus, Francisca Portugal, Filipa Oliveira, Leonor Carrilho, Pedro Alves Sousa, Laura Gama Martins, André Cepeda, Alexandre Estrela.
